thoughts while studying....
we have to move past first world, developing world, and third world groupings which base a nation's worth on simple economic terms. how this relates to global health and terminology in general is that we have to start examining countries/people for what they can bring to the table, what they can offer us, what is their strengths and qualities versus just seeing how WE can help THEM. we're all in this together. the more we group and differentiate, the further someone's humanity is from us.

do racial/social classifications not do the same thing? I am muslim, black, whtie, etc...? Separate humanity.
first world, developing world, and third world does in some way describe what countries are capable of bringing to the table.
as for the second comment, i guess that's what i'm trying to get away from. i disagree that what we bring to the table comes down whether or not our roads are paved and we export a certain amount of goods. it's a limited sense of what we can achieve as humans. what if a country could export happy people, cooky thought but think about it.
to the first comment - i somewhat agree that classifications separate humanity, however, i do not agree that differences do. if someone is muslim, black, white, we are different and we may think differently and we can gain from these differences . it is our perception of this difference which can separate us whether a leader telling us to attack those of a different race, or another group enslaving those because of that difference.
